DONT SAY “I”…
I didn’t want to be a worship leader.
Mostly because I thought that worship leaders operated by one rule, “shut-up and sing!”
I wanted to be an artist, because artists are allowed to have opinions; and boy! did I have opinions!
Then, I realized that the frustrations that made me want to run far away from the church, were the reasons God wanted me there—and I landed at a place where I can be both.
So, what craziness am I leading my congregation in this month?
For the entire month of November, as far as I can help it, Glad Tidings will not sing the words “I” or “me”. We will only sing about “us” and “we”.
Why?
Because our relationship with God is not as “personal” and “private” as we would like to think. In fact, most what it means to walk with God, has to do with how we walk with one another.
Come worship with us sometime…
