Finding Your Voice…

and I would—like this lady above—love my voice if I could only figure out what it is…there seem to be many things I’m passionate about, but what is the best investment of my times, my gifts, my energy? I’m not sure. This year, I adopted the “…too whom much is given, much is required…” attitude and just used every “gift” I have to engage any “passion” I’ve had. It’s been fun, rewarding and exhausting—the best year ever.

At any rate, I’m still wondering what I have to offer the world, and how I might throw myself headlong into serving there.

In the meantime, I’ve gotten 4 Questions from Stephen R. Covey to guide people to finding their voice:

1) What are you good at? That’s your mind.

2) What do you love doing? That’s your heart.

3) What need can you serve? That’s the body.

4) And finally, what is life asking of you? What gives your life meaning and purpose? What do you feel like you should be doing? In short, what is your conscience directing you to do? That is your spirit.

About

Beautiful is my favorite word. I'm a singer-songwriter based in New York City. I'm also a Bible teacher and worship director at Glad Tidings in TriBeCa. I often get compared to Stevie Wonder and Prince. These are my thoughts. [http://www.AndreHenryMusic.com]

I don’t like the term “Good Friday”… A good Friday is when friends hang out with you, and you grab pizza. When Jesus rescues the world...
