The Last Movie I Saw…

Yes. As a grown man, I often walk into animated movies, in the middle of the day, by myself. And this week, I walked in Dream Works’ Shrek spin-off “Puss in Boots”. I’d actually been looking forward to this movie since I saw a poster for it in the early early part of this year—and, for once, having my hopes up didn’t let me down.

Puss in Boots is hilarious—more funny than any other Shrek spin-off before it, while somehow being able to pull of a compelling, cohesive story of redemption. Who knew I’d be so moved by watching Humpty Dumpty have a great fall…I know it sounds ridiculous, but I did. Very very well done.
